If you are going to install on the virtual machine, of course, skip the burning of the ISO. Download the 32-bit ISO of Ubuntu 11.04 Desktop and the Universal USB Installer. First, download the 18.04 minimal ISO on the wiki page. With Arch and Gentoo, you have to perform each of the steps yourself using command-line tools.
